Danielle Jordan Yanskey
Managing Partner

Danielle Jordan Yanskey provides leadership and direction to all areas of the company with a focus on client relationship management and providing analysis and consulting services to ROIC analytics clients.

For over 20 years, Danielle has delivered research and analytical services to the nation's top chain store operators and emerging retail concepts. Prior to co-founding ROIC analytics in 2007, Danielle served as the VP of Client Services for retail analytics software provider, geoVue. For the previous 16 years, Danielle led then-Fortune 50 food and drug retailer, Albertsons' research efforts nationwide. As the Director of Research and Market Analysis, Danielle was instrumental in streamlining the company's research processes to accurately and efficiently analyze over 1000 real estate sites per year across the company's numerous banners which included Acme, Jewel, Shaw's, Bristol Farm's, Osco and Sav-on Drug. Danielle also provided analysis and consulting services in support of multiple mergers and acquisitions, company reorganization, merchandising, and marketing initiatives.

Danielle holds a BA in Marketing from Boise State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She currently resides in Boise, Idaho.

 

Tom Kessler
Managing Partner

Tom Kessler provides leadership and direction to all areas of the company with a focus on product development and engineering custom client solutions.

For the past 15+ years, Tom has built a reputation for bringing innovative thinking to the field of location intelligence. Prior to co-founding ROIC analytics in 2007, Tom led retail analytics software provider, geoVue's analysis and modeling group. At geoVue, Tom developed solutions for many of the nation's top retailers and made numerous contributions to the company's product development efforts. From 1999-2006, Tom led food and drug store retailer, Albertsons' GIS team. In this role, Tom designed, developed, and deployed numerous analytic solutions that were used daily to make key strategic and tactical decisions across Real Estate, Merchandising, Marketing, IT, and Finance. Prior to Albertsons, Tom worked as an analyst for the U.S. Bureau of the Census and data provider, Navteq.

Tom holds an MA in Geography with a focus on Urban and Regional Planning and a BS in Psychology from the University of North Dakota. He currently resides in Boise, Idaho.

 

Carol VanVleet
Director of Operations

Carol VanVleet provides project management expertise for ROIC analytics client engagements, as well as expert-level analysis and consulting services on grocery, retail, and community projects.

With over 20 years in the retail research field, Carol brings considerable market knowledge and project management experience to ROIC analytics' client engagements. Prior to joining ROIC analytics in 2008, Carol managed client projects and accounts for retail software provider geoVue. Throughout the 1990s and for most of the 2000s, Carol worked as an analyst at Albertsons. As a senior research analyst at Albertsons, Carol completed site sales forecasting studies in markets across the United States and helped pioneer the company's strategic market planning program. When SuperValu, Inc. acquired Albertsons in the mid-2000s, Carol was tapped to manage the company's market planning efforts.

Carol currently resides in Boise, Idaho.

 

Sam Lowder
Director of Business Development

Sam Lowder leads ROIC analytics' business development and marketing efforts, and provides expert-level analysis services to company clients.

Sam brings a broad range of real estate experience and market knowledge to ROIC analytics from his work on the retail, developer, broker and property owner sides of the business. During his 4 years as Phillips Edison and Company Research/ Development Manager, Sam created and grew the research department, providing services in support of acquisitions, leasing, development, and finance. He managed and grew relationships with national retail clients, property owners, neighborhood associations, and government agencies while pursuing commercial real estate development opportunities. Prior to moving into the corporate real estate side of the business, Sam spent more than 10 years in retail, working both in operations and real estate research for Albertsons.

Sam holds a BBA in Business Economics from Boise State University and is a licensed associate real estate broker in Colorado. Sam currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
