Our Commitment to Confidentiality
At ROIC analytics, we take our clients' confidentiality seriously. We understand that by sharing sensitive information about your operations and your strategy with us, you expect the information to be treated with complete confidentiality. We thus take numerous precautions to make sure your information is safeguarded. First and foremost, the information you provide to us is never shared with other clients or used for other clients' projects. Only information that can be readily attained elsewhere without access to this data or through published sources is ever used on subsequent engagements. Additionally, any licensed data sources you share with us for use in your project are never used for other purposes.
Second, we are happy to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) to provide legal protection for your information. All of our team members, contractors, and partners are under strict confidentiality agreements at all times. Even with the NDA, all information is shared internally on a need-to-know basis only. Additionally, if our clients wish to remain anonymous we will honor that wish.
Third, we take all the necessary precautions to secure your data while it is in our possession. All data pertaining to your project is housed in three locations - on the password-protected computer of the person or persons working on your project, on a local external hard drive locked away in a secure fireproof safe, and an off-site backup on a highly-encrypted cloud server. We believe our storage and backup policy provides the right balance of data security with disaster recovery. Upon written request, we will destroy all sensitive files related to your project immediately following delivery.
We believe these safeguards provide the necessary protection to allow us to work on projects for competing companies with very minimal risk. It is therefore our policy not to sign non-compete agreements or refuse work based on overlapping interests in a market or industry. However, our goal is to accommodate all reasonable requests to ensure our clients are completely comfortable working in partnership with us. If you have any questions about our confidentiality policy, please contact us.
